Swiftwater Covered Bridge
Covered bridge · Grafton County, New Hampshire

Swiftwater Covered Bridge is a covered bridge in Grafton County, New Hampshire. New Hampshire has 51 covered bridges on record at Wayfarrow, 10 of them in Grafton County.
It was built in 1849, in the first half of the 19th century, making it the 5th oldest of the 33 in New Hampshire with a recorded construction date; it crosses Wild Ammonoosuc River.
Status check, 2026-11: This 1849 Paddleford truss bridge over the Wild Ammonoosuc is the fourth one at the site and was rebuilt by the state in 1977; sources give 158 ft or 173 ft 8 in (the record's 16 m is wrong either way), so I left the length blank. Swiftwater Covered Bridge is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It stands at 44.1342° N, 71.9514° W.
