Turtle Island Light is a lighthouse in Ohio. Ohio has 21 lighthouses on record at Wayfarrow.
It was built in 1866, in the Civil War era, making it the 4th oldest of the 19 in Ohio with a recorded construction date; it guards Lake Erie; it was deactivated in 1904.
Status check, 2026-11: The 1831 tower was replaced in 1866 by a square brick tower (originally about 45 ft), which was decommissioned in 1904. Only an endangered shell is left after the top blew off in a 1965 storm, so its current height is unconfirmed. It stands at 41.7525° N, 83.3915° W.
