Chesapeake Light is a lighthouse in Virginia. Virginia has 36 lighthouses on record at Wayfarrow.

It was built in 1965, in the postwar decades, making it the 14th oldest of the 14 in Virginia with a recorded construction date; the tower stands about 120 feet tall (3rd tallest of 6 measured in Virginia); its light sits 118 feet above the water; the light characteristic is recorded as Fl(2) W 10s (a group of 2 white flashes every 10 seconds), with a range of about 19 nautical miles; it guards Chesapeake Bay; it was deactivated in 2016.

Status check, 2026-11: This is an offshore 'Texas tower' platform. It stopped working as a light in 2016 and was sold at auction to a private owner for $215,000. I found no report that it has been removed, but no recent source confirms it is still there. It is not reachable by road: the nearest road is about 15 miles away, so it is seen from shore or reached by water. It stands at 36.9046° N, 75.7127° W.
